This is what Trained Occupational Therapist and Founder of Khushi, Dr Reena Singh experienced. She loved rice pudding but she was allergic to it and was also lactose intolerant. She would dream of eating rice pudding and would be in a constant tussle internally to indulge or not. While it was her favourite food, just a spoonful would result in loose motions, pain and discomfort.
"I loved rice pudding (kheer) but with every single spoon of my favourite kheer, I used to have thunder and lightning in my stomach followed by massive diarrhoea. Not just that, old dust and spider webs would give me flu and incessant sneezing and literally drain me out like the water squeezed out of a sponge. Oh my God... It was a pain !!! But I had learnt to live with it and accepted myself the way I was."

Reena goes on to share, how she was surprised to find that even though she did not work on her allergy during EFT Practitioner Training, after attending the program her allergy vanished! She was even waiting in anticipation for the symptoms.
"I was out of the Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT) training and thought that I was better since I had released all the pain and hurt that I have been carrying.
After a week, my mom had made “kheer”. Believe me, I really could not resist. There was a fight in me - one telling me to have just a spoon and forget about diarrhoea and the other one was a strict teacher inside me teaching that I was behaving like a child.
It was too much to resist and I had a spoonful of “kheer” - closed my mouth and felt the bliss in my mouth. As soon as I gulped it down my throat and before it could reach my stomach, the teacher in me was angry and screaming at me for this foolishness.
I was really sad and also guilty as I sat on a sofa in a corner waiting for the thunder and the lightning. I was waiting and waiting and waiting... Now it was half an hour and I was fine.
Usually, I start getting my symptoms in a matter of just 5 minutes. I was wondering “What was wrong or right with me?” Now it was more than 3 hours and no symptoms. I was even scared to think that I am free of that allergy".
Reena did not trust that her allergy had been cleared completely and decided to test it again the next day.
"The next day, the “child” in me decided to plunge even more and I had a bowl of “kheer” waiting for something to happen but ….NOTHING!!! I had to believe that I was free. All my allergy was because of the negative emotions that I had been carrying with me since my childhood. Dust allergy is also ….Swoosh …. GONE. It has been more than 6 months now... I eat all the foodstuffs that I was once allergic to."

HOW TO HEAL FROM ALLERGIES WITH EFT TAPPING
Emotional Freedom Techniques (EFT): EFT Tapping to heal from allergies.
Step 1:
First, Use EFT Tapping On What It Feels Like To Feel allergic
Explore the physical sensations in the body associated with the allergy and use the physical tension tapping process to reduce the sensations.
Then use the EFT Tapping Points Process taught in detail during EFT Practitioner Training Online.

To get started, begin by investigating the physical nature of the allergy.
Connect with the allergy and notice where do you feel it in the body. Then use the Physical Tension taught in detail during EFT Practitioner Training to clear the surface feelings and feel calmer.
Briefly, you can begin by asking yourself the following questions to explore further:
- Where in the body do you experience the allergy?
- What is the colour, texture, size, shape of the allergy in the body?
- What are the sensations like? For example rough or smooth

Then measure the level of allergy by asking:
"What number is the allergy at, where 10 is really high and 1 is not high at all." Just go with whatever comes up spontaneously, without thinking too much about it.

Begin by Tapping on the Karate Chop or Side of the Hand EFT Tapping Points:
"Even though I feel irritated and uneasy because of my allergy, I feel it in my chest and it's at a number 6 and it's red in colour and it feels rough, I deeply and completely love and accept myself." (Repeat 3 times).

Then Tap on the facial and upper body EFT Tapping Points using these phrases:
- Eyebrow: This allergy...
- side Of the Eye: So much allergy...
- Under the eye: Allergy in my chest...
- Under the nose: It's a red colour...
- Chin: At a number 6...
- Collarbone: So rough...
- Under the arm: This allergy...
- Thumb: I feel it in my chest...
- Index Finger: So allergic...
- Middle Finger: Really allergic...
- Little Finger: The colour red...

Close the sequence by coming back to the EFT Karate Chop Tapping Points and repeat once:
"Even though I feel irritated and uneasy, and I feel it in my chest and it's at a number 6 and it's red in colour and it feels rough, I deeply and completely love and accept myself."
6.
Relax:
Take a gentle breath in and out and take a sip of water.
7.
Test:
At the end of the EFT Tapping, you can ask yourself the following questions:
- What number is the allergy at now?
- What happened?
- How does it make you feel?
You can repeat this process by going back to Step 1 if you feel like the number could come down a little more.
Step 2:
Then Discover Past Experiences Of Feeling allergic And Clear Them
Explore memories related to the physical tension and use the Tell the Story & the Movie Technique to clear it.
To uncover the memories linked to the symptoms of allergies, you can ask questions like:
- When have you felt these sensations before?
- What do these sensations remind you of?
- When did the sensations start? What happened?
- Was there ever a time when you did not experience these symptoms?
- What can trigger and bring on the symptoms?
Identify past events linked to the allergy and resolve them with the help of tapping therapy.
You can ask the following questions:
- When have you felt allergic before?
- What happens to trigger the allergy?
- Who or what triggers the allergy?
These questions will identify your past experiences associated with allergies.
Step 3:
Explore Any Limiting Beliefs That Prevented You From getting rid of allergies
Limiting beliefs are thoughts that can be conscious or unconscious and can end up becoming responsible for self-sabotage, procrastination and low self-esteem, in an individual.
For allergies, first, uncover the limiting beliefs which can either be at the surface level or associated with the deeper root memories. Then shift them from stressful to empowering. For example,
- “Something bad is going to happen” to “Everything is going to be OK"
- "It not safe" to "I am safe now"
Step 4:
Close With Positive EFT Tapping For allergies:
Examples of a positive tapping sequence might be:
- “Even though I felt allergic, now, I am open to feeling free from allergies.”
- “Even though I was living with allergies for many months, now, I open myself to the possibility of being free from allergies."
