Broken to saved by coaching tool Neuro-Linguistic Programming (NLP)
I was struggling financially, the people who I thought were pillars of my existence made a clean break and left me.
I was left feeling:
- Overwhelmed
- Anxious
- Stressed
- Depressed
- Humiliated
...and a Nervous Wreck
I was a nervous wreck in its literal sense, my life was in total disarray.
I had lost the purpose of living.
This is when NLP happened.
I can never be grateful enough to my friend who recommended NLP to me.
Honestly, we have never met in person.
I embarked upon the journey to explore NLP with a natural sense of skepticism and hesitation.
It took me sometime to connect and trust.
Once I started trusting in the process, practicing the patterns, I started to pay more attention.
Hence I started experiencing a slow shift deep inside.
I then realized that my journey to recovery, reconstruction and rebuilding had commenced.
The more I associated and related with NLP and its teachings, the more I kept going from strength to strength:
- I started to regain my Self-Confidence
- Re-institute Self-Discipline
- Improved Mental and Emotional Health
- Increasing my self-awareness and detachment
- Helped me learn and understand ‘how physical and mental states of others have an impact upon us and vice-versa.
- Recognising the importance of being flexible and how limiting it is to continue to hold on to fixed attitudes and behavior patterns.
- Had a relook at my values and beliefs, re-oriented them, changed them and adopted/installed the new and more positive ones.
Some of the Major NLP Techniques/Patterns that helped me regain myself are:
- Perceptual Positions for understanding Relationships.
- Parts Integration to overcome Inner Conflict.
- Double/Triple Dissociation to heal internal wounds/hurt.
- Timeline Therapy to make permanent changes in some behavior patterns.
- Well-Formed Outcomes to set clear and result oriented goals.
- Presuppositions of NLP to change and understand the life itself from a much broader perspective.
- Swish Pattern to create and install positive and resourceful images and patterns
- Six Step Reframe to create more positive internal resources
The most important part of this journey has been that it helped me recreate my life, connect with my life purpose, having better relationships with myself and the others.
I have become more stable and calm.
NLP has been the magical healing potion for me.
Whenever I feel disoriented in any aspect of my life I go back to NLP.
