EFT Tapping for Overwhelm
"Overwhelm is, most often a mindset. If you think about all the things you have to do, you'll be the face down on the floor" Jen Sincero
We live in a society where "being busy" is a sign of success.
You can't afford to slow down, you've got to be busy with something or the other.. yes? And what does that result in?
Overwhelm.
I had a friend when I worked in the corporate world, who was extremely competent, possibly the best in the team.
Every time the boss gave her a task to do she felt so overwhelmed, that she would put that task aside to escape the emotion and do something else.
Eventually there were many tasks left pending.
At the end of the month we were expected to submit a monthly report and also had an informal appraisal of the tasks assigned to us.
Can you guess the outcome of her appraisal?
You guessed right. She was always at the bottom of the corporate ladder and did not receive a salary increment or growth for two years straight.
Eventually job dissatisfaction crept in and she had to quit.
Why? Only because she could not handle or face the emotion associated with overwhelm.
The result – her profession growth was kicked back a few years.
Overwhelm can happen at any time, at work, to a student, in a relationship or even in daily life. The trick is to catch the bull by the horns.
Yes Emotional Freedom Techniques(EFT) can help eliminate the feeling of overwhelm and can easily be done anywhere.
So today, we'll tap on reducing the feeling of overwhelm.
A little side note before we begin ...
Do not be alarmed by the use of negative language that merely acknowledges the present state of things - such as "I'm feeling overwhelmed".
Tapping is a cleansing technique - you acknowledge what doesn't feel good and clear it out using simultaneous tapping. Such thoughts are already going on in your mind.
Tapping helps you to safely verbalize and purge them. Once negative emotional charge clears, it spontaneously makes space for positive thoughts and creative insight to arise.
